What
is FCR….?
Record
keeping
every week we have to take birds weight &
how much feed they
consumed
v Fcr means feed
conversion ratio.
v Feed conversion ratios tell us the
efficiency of bird to convert feed into live weight.
v Total kg of feed
consumed by a batch = Feed Conversion
Ratio
v
FCR = total feed(kg)/total weight(kg).
v
We have to calculate how much birds use feed & how much its give a weight.
How
to calculate FCR…?
v
we have to use formula of Fcr = feed/weight
v
e.g. If live weight of birds is 8750kg & its use a 5000kg feed then the FCR
is 1.75
v fCR also depend on live
environment , climate & management .
v
So, we have to calculate FCR to every week for how much feed we give ? &
how much weight we have to got ?
vSo,
every poultry owner know about the FCR & then he success in farming.
v
It is important to keep good records of birds performance.
v
record when you open a new batch of feed of known weight.
vWe
have to keep record of which season we arrive birds?
v
Keep daily record of feed.
v
keep daily bids quantity record.
For
good FCR what to do..?
v Make
sure you are not wasting feed by regularly
maintaining your feeders and adjusting feeder height as the birds grow.
v
Good feeder maintenance will also help insure that all areas of the feeder can
be used helping to promote the growth of a uniform flock.
v
Insure the birds have plenty of clean water. Bacteria in dirty watering systems
can spread disease. In addition, poorly maintained watering systems can leak
onto litter.
For
good FCR what to do..?
v Keep
the litter dry to minimize the growth of bacteria and the promotion of disease.
v
Monitor the house temperature and ventilation. High ammonia levels or
temperatures that are too hot or too cold can hurt feed conversion.
